Hours: 20 hours/week
Compensation: $23/hour, depending on experience

• Must be available Tuesdays and Sundays for Youth Programs.
• Other hours flexible for office work

Overview

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS -CLERICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engaging, culturally informed programming for youth.
• Lead, coordinate, and prepare youth activities in partnership with BYEP staff.
• Actively communicate with parents and guardians.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for all participants.
• Plan and lead connection-building activities.
• Coordinate and support volunteers involved in the youth program.
• Supervise and actively participate in physically engaging environments.
• Ensure youth safety and uphold program values at all times.
• Follow Bienvenidos’ and BYEP’s youth protection, safety, and emergency policies.
• Meet all mandatory reporting requirements.
• Model cultural sensitivity and equity in all interactions with youth and families.
  
  

Administrative Tasks

• Track expenses and submit receipts for program purchases.
• Prepare brief program reports or updates for leadership.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics with BYEP and Bienvenidos staff.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and safety documentation.
• Coordinate pickup and drop-off logistics for youth participants.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
• Experience working with youth in outdoor, educational, or community settings.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle report.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for gear and activities).
• Experience in mentorship, teaching, or youth leadership.
